Gracias a las últimas fotografías tomadas de Plutón por la sonda New Horizons, el planeta enano acaparó portadas de diarios, notas en televisión y fama mundial, nuevamente.
Fue esa notoriedad la que llevó a la NASA a liberar una animación en que se puede seguir el avance y mejora que han tenido las capturas fotográficas del objeto celeste.
En el registro se puede ver la primera imagen de Plutón, capturada por Clyde Tombaugh en 1930. Se trata de una mezcla de pixeles que fue lograda haciendo zoom sobre una fotografía del observatorio Lowell.
Rápidamente aparecen también las fotografías captadas por el telescopio Hubble y por la sonda New Horizons este año.
