Chile’s President Gabriel Boric congratulates U.S. president-elect Donald Trump

President Boric expressed Chile’s commitment to strengthening ties with the U.S. in support of democracy, human rights, and inclusive development in the region.

This Wednesday, President Gabriel Boric congratulated U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

Via X, Boric stated, “Chile reaffirms its commitment to strengthening relations with the United States in support of inclusive development, respect for human rights, and safeguarding democracy in our region.”

“We continue to work for the good of our peoples,” he concluded.

The Chilean President joins other leaders who have extended congratulations to Trump on his U.S. presidential victory, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Argentine President Javier Milei, among others.

The former president garnered the necessary electoral votes to become the 47th President of the United States. In his speech, he emphasized his campaign promises and called for national unity.
